Privacy Policy

This policy covers Dice Night and any other game published by Jamtastic Games. It's written plainly because the data handling is simple and there isn't much to obscure.

What we collect

Display name — the name you type on the home screen. Stored on our server while you're in a room. Visible to other players in that room. We never ask for a real name.

Chat messages — text you send during games. Stored on our server alongside the room. Visible to other players in that room. Deleted when the room is cleaned up (typically within an hour of the game ending).

Anonymous player ID — a random UUID generated once per app install on your device. Used so you can reconnect to a room after a disconnect, and so your block list persists. Not linked to your name, email, phone, or any account. Different on every device; different after a reinstall or "Clear my data".

Room codes and block list — stored only on your device (in the app's local storage). The app never uploads these as a history.

Reports — if you tap Report on a chat message, we store the message ID, your player ID, the reason you selected, and any note you wrote. Retained until we review it (usually within 24 hours) and then deleted.

What we do not collect

Email address, phone number, or real name
Date of birth
Precise location
Advertising identifiers (IDFA / Google AAID)
Contacts, photos, or anything else from the device

Tracking and ads

We do not use any analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or cross-app trackers. The App Store Privacy "nutrition label" reports Data Not Collected for tracking purposes.

Where data lives

Everything is stored on a small server we operate ourselves, in the United States. It is not shared with third parties. Cloudflare sits in front of our server for TLS, caching, and DDoS protection — Cloudflare sees the same traffic your browser sends, subject to their privacy policy.

Server logs

Our server logs each HTTP and WebSocket request with the path, status code, and duration. Logs rotate and are not retained beyond a few days. We don't record personal content (chat messages appear in the database, not the log file).

Children

Dice Night is rated 9+ on iOS / Rated for 10+ on Android because of the unmoderated chat feature. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your choices

Clear my data — the gear icon on the home screen wipes your name, player ID, recent room codes, and block list from the device. The app generates a fresh identity on next launch.
Delete past chat messages — email [email protected] with the approximate time and room code. We'll remove them from our database.
Block a player — long-press any of their chat messages and choose Block. You won't see their messages in any room, on this device.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note the change in our app release notes.
